The Sheboygan Police Department is investigating a string of thefts that are quite unique.
They report that over the past few months, they have seen a number of cases where catalytic converters have been taken off of vehicles. This part of a vehicle is a part of the exhaust system and can be sold for anywhere from $50 to $450 per converter, depending on the type.
The Sheboygan Police Department suggests vehicle owners either park their car in a garage if possible or at least in a well-lit area, with no barriers that could conceal the thieves as they take the part.
