
The Milwaukee Brewers are helping women chip away at the glass ceiling in Major League Baseball.
Thursday’s announcement that Sara Goodrum will become the organization’s minor league hitting coordinator is making history. Goodrum is the first woman to hold that position in professional baseball.
She had served as coordinator for integrative sports performance for the Brewers organization.
Earlier this offseason the Miami Marlins hired Kim Ng as the first female general manager in the major leagues.
There are female coaches on the staff of the Giants, the Cubs, and the Yankees.
