Wisconsin’s unemployment rate ticked-up in December.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics says the state’s jobless rate was 5.5% percent last month. It was 5.3% percent back in November. Wisconsin is in the middle of the pack in the Midwest. Iowa has the lowest unemployment rate in the region at 3.1% percent. Illinois has the worst at 7.6% percent.
The US jobless rate was 6.7% percent in December.
