A local brewery has announced a major change to its operations.
Paul and Kathy Hoffman, the owners of Petskull Brewing in Manitowoc released a video on their Facebook page yesterday, where they explained that after three years in business, it was time for a change. Paul said, “It’s time to leave 220 North 9th Street…and move into a new building!”
They announced that they have purchased the historic brick building located at 1050 Buffalo Street.“Our new location is only two blocks from our existing taproom,” Paul explained. “This majestic 100-year-old building was formerly Junk Fur and Hides, and then, Manitowoc Scrap and Metal Company.”
Paul explained in the video that the public has been very supportive of them over the years. So much that their current facility on North 9th Street was simply too small, so they bought the much larger building.
Petskull Brewing is also expanding its business to include a Cajun restaurant. As for why that style of food, Paul explained, “Number 1 we love it, number 2 you don’t have that in town, and number 3, we don’t have that in the entire region. We think this is going to bring a lot of people to Manitowoc, to come and eat some authentic cajun and creole food, and enjoy some great beer.”
Paul explained that they will have a capacity of 200 people, and seating for 65 inside the building, and will be building a patio area that will be able to fit an additional 200 people.
This location is in the River Point District, which the City has been looking to create into an expanded downtown area.
