Several sources are reporting the Big Ten men’s hockey tournament will be played at Notre Dame in March.
South Bend, Indiana was chosen because it is the most central location among the conference member schools. Games will be played at the Compton Family Ice Arena.
Officials are working out the details right now.
Indications are there will be three quarterfinal games played March 18th, then two semifinals, and the championship game over the next two days. The regular-season champion will get a bye into the semis.
The other choices to host were Minnesota and Penn State, but geography won things for Notre Dame.
