A Manitowoc man was arrested on Monday (January 25th) after he was found to be stalking his ex-girlfriend.
The Manitowoc Police Department received a call just after 5:00 PM on a report of a man attempting to make contact with the victim at Maritime Ford, despite having a restraining order against him. The officer spoke with the victim, who said she feels “very unsafe” and that she fears going to work because she is “afraid something worse will happen next”.
The 41-year-old man had a last known address in Two Rivers, so the two Police Departments coordinated an arrest, and the man was transferred to the Manitowoc County Jail on charges of Stalking and Violating a Temporary Restraining Order.
The arrest comes one week after the Manitowoc Common Council declared January Human Trafficking and Stalking Prevention Month.
