Former Packers quarterback Brett Favre says fans shouldn’t read too much into comments by Aaron Rodgers after Sunday’s season-ending 31-26 loss to Tampa Bay.
Rodgers indicated his future with the team was uncertain, but Favre says there’s nothing the Packers would do to risk losing their future Hall of Fame quarterback.
He says Rodgers is playing better now than he ever has in a career filled with achievements and awards.
Rodgers is 37 years old and he could choose to retire, but he’d be leaving more than $130-million in salary behind and his competitive nature makes a move like that very unlikely.
