The snow claimed its first accident this morning in Shoto.
According to Major Jason Orth of the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Department, a 50-year-old man from the Town of Two Rivers was driving south on County Highway B at around 6:15 AM, when he lost control of his Ford F-150 near the left curve by Manitou Drive.
The truck then entered the ditch, struck a traffic sign and culvert, before ending up in the West Twin River.
The driver was not injured, and Major Orth explained that the water in that area of the river was only about one foot deep.
Additional information is expected to be released once the investigating officer finishes their crash report.
