Madison police are trying to find out how two boys, ages three and six, managed to get so far from home Sunday morning.
They were 15 miles from their east side home when they approached a stranger asking for help.
No Metro Transit drivers recall giving bus rides to the boys. Neither boy knew his last name and they were visibly “frightened” by their situation, according to Madison police.
Several hours went by before a relative contacted authorities after realizing the boys weren’t home.
They were then reunited with their family members.
