Three Republican congressmen from the Badger State say stopping the Keystone X-L pipeline will cost hundreds of Wisconsin jobs.
One of the first executive orders by President Joe Biden stopped the multi-billion-dollar construction project last week.
Congressmen Bryan Steil, Glenn Grothman, and Scott Fitzgerald spoke Friday at a news conference, with Steil calling the president’s decision “disgusting,” saying Biden should reconsider.
Keystone X-L President Richard Prior has said more than 1000 jobs will be eliminated in the coming weeks.
The congressmen say hundreds of those jobs are held by Wisconsin workers for Michels Corporation, a construction contractor headquartered in Dodge County.
