The Wisconsin women’s hockey team defeated St. Cloud State for the 27th straight time Saturday by a 4-2 score.
St. Cloud State had scored the game’s first goal and led 2-1 in the second period, but newcomer Lacey Eden gave the Badgers their first lead of the game when she scored the winning goal in the third period to break a 2-2 tie.
Sophie Shirley had a pair of goals for Wisconsin. Daryl Watts scored the 100th goal of her career and ran her string of games with at least one point to 10-in-a-row. Watts leads the N-C-A-A with 21 points.
The Badgers (8-and-2, 8-and-2 Big Ten) are off next weekend, then they travel to Minnesota for a series starting February 5th.
