There were two separate domestic violence incidents yesterday in Manitowoc, and both were reported around the same time.
The first was reported just before 9:45 AM and saw officers respond to the 2300 block of South 21st Street.
The 19-year-old suspect, who had been arrested on domestic violence charges against the same victim previously, had shown up at her residence asking to see their shared child. When the woman said no, and began to guide him out the door, he allegedly struck the woman.
The suspect had fled the scene, but was located and arrested on charges of Battery with a Domestic Violence Order, and three counts of Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
The other case was reported to the Manitowoc Police Department a few minutes later in the 800 block of South 35th Street.
The caller, the suspect’s mother, told police that her 21-year-old son had punched her, pushed her in the shower and that his dog bit her. The suspect’s girlfriend also told police that he had choked her child as well.
He has been arrested on charges of Suffocation or Strangulation and six counts of Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
