A 40-year-old Manitowoc woman is free on cash bail after she was taken into custody for alleged theft at Walmart Tuesday afternoon.
Tabitha C. Meyer is charged with Misdemeanor Retail Theft and three counts of Felony Bail Jumping.
Police were dispatched to the store just after noon on reports of two women putting items in a backpack and purse. Meyer and the other suspect, identified as Kyrie K. Brunmeier, were seen scanning some but not all their items at the register.
Brunmeier was found in possession of a single item valued under $50 so she was not charged, while Meyer had unpaid items valued at $320 on her person confirmed by store surveillance video and was taken into custody.
Conditions of bail include that Meyer have no contact with Brunmeier, report to the Manitowoc Police Department within 72 hours for photos and prints, and have no contact with any Walmart store in Wisconsin.
Her initial appearance is scheduled for January 25th at 1:30.
