Students in the Kewaunee School District are being sent home early this afternoon after an apparent outside threat that mentioned a firearm.
Students who rode the bus were taken home at 12:45 PM. Others were released at 1:15 p.m. A security checkpoint on Center Street is set up and identification is necessary for family members or emergency contacts to pick up students who didn’t ride the bus.
High School Students who drove are only allowed to take other high school siblings home and grade school students must be picked up.
More information is expected to be released later today by law enforcement.
