The District Three Wisconsin Court of Appeals has upheld the 2012 conviction of an Appleton woman who stabbed her husband to death.
Attorneys for Mastella Jackson argued she should have been granted a change of venue. The appeal also targeted a post-trial decision not to grant her a new trial.
The appeals court handed down its decision Wednesday.
The panel determined the circuit court wasn’t in error when it denied the motion for a change of venue and Jackson’s lawyers failed to show the jury hadn’t acted impartially.
