Manitowoc’s Felician Village has announced that Harold Kimmel has been given the Excellence in Volunteer Service Award for 2020.
Connie Thimmig, the Director of Enrichment Services at the assisted living facility nominated Harold and said that he not only “transported the residents throughout the day and evening on campus to Mass, doctor appointments, and activities, he regularly assisted during Mass on the weekends, collected almsgiving, distributed Mass books, and assisted residents who needed extra help during and after Mass. He is the legs and arms for those who can no longer use theirs.”
This award recognizes an individual whose volunteer actions have made a significant impact on the residents/operations of Felician Village. The recipient of this award exemplifies the core values of Felician Village by living out the healing ministry of Jesus and providing compassionate care that respects the dignity of each person served.
