
A Manitowoc man, who was arrested for stabbing another man in the township of Two Rivers, has been sentenced.
While Jon Paul Douglas Brutscher was originally charged with Attempted Homicide, the charge was changed to 1st Degree Reckless Injury on October 13th.
Judge Robert Dewane sentenced Brutscher last Tuesday to four years in prison, followed by seven years of extended supervision.
Brutscher was arrested on February 19th of last year, after stabbing an unnamed 30-year-old man, who was treated at a local hospital.
Brutscher was also ordered to have no contact with the victim, and maintain absolute sobriety, and fulltime, schooling, work search or a combination. He must also undergo a mental health evaluation, as ordered by the court.
