The following is a statement on court proceedings as issued by Manitowoc County Circuit Court Judges on January 20, 2021:
Please be advised that the Circuit Courts of Manitowoc County continue to monitor the COVID-19 infection rates within the county and statewide with an eye toward when we will be able to safely resume in-person court appearances. In the meantime, all courts, including all three circuit court branches, the family court commissioner, and the circuit court commissioner, remain in session full-time. All court appearances at this time are being conducted virtually, using available technology. The courts are not closed.
All parties are expected to participate in their court hearings. If you do not know how to do so, please contact the Clerk of Courts Office at (920) 683-4030. Additionally, the courts continue to be open to the public, and anyone interested is welcome and encouraged to call for instructions as to how to view in any non-confidential or closed hearing.
No jury trials will be held in Manitowoc County Circuit Court at least through the month of February.
