As has been the case in multiple holiday-themed donation drives, Making Spirits Bright in Sheboygan recorded a record amount of donations for the Sheboygan County Food Bank.
Reports indicate that during their 2020 donation drive, over 157,000 pounds of food was collected, which surpassed their goal of 150,000 pounds. Their goal was actually 50% higher than it was last year.
A similar trend was seen by many charities in Eastern Wisconsin, including the Salvation Army of Manitowoc County, who reported surpassing their $130,000 goal by over $2,000.
Even though 2020 was a year to forget in many ways, it really brought out the giving nature of mankind, and many charities are grateful for that.
