
The Manitowoc Lincoln Girl Gymnasts are on a bit of a roll.
The Ships were a dual meet winner Saturday, as they defeated the co-op of Valders/Roncalli 127.9 to 124. Placing first in the all-around at the JFK Fieldhouse was the Ships Caroline Ramminger with a score of 33.6. Ramminger also posted a season-high score on bars at 9.075.
Teammate Ashley Block was first on vault and runner-up on floor, and, Coach Jacque Bartow tells us Morgan Hofmeyer tied for 2nd on vault. Valders/Roncalli was paced by firsts from Jayme Jirikowic who placed first on floor, had two second-place finishes, and wound up 2nd in the all-around at 33.5, right behind Ramminger. Mykaida Larson was 1st on beam and took 3rd in the all-around.
Then, Lincoln defeated host Sheboygan North & South 128.8 to 117.2 last night. The win marked the 3rd straight dual meet victory for Coach Bartow’s squad. The Ships were led by Block’s first-place finishes on vault, floor, and beam, and a 3rd in the all-around. Her teammate, Ramminger, posted a 1st on bars and wound up 1st in the all-around with a score of 32.825.
Manitowoc will travel to Markesan for its’ next meet on Monday, January 25th.
