Newly signed Green Bay Packers offensive tackle Jared Veldheer is the latest player to test positive for COVID-19.
E-S-PN reports Veldheer was placed on the COVID-19 Wednesday but no other players were been identified as close contacts.
The Packers just signed Veldheer off the Indianapolis Colts’ practice squad on Monday and he practiced with the team Tuesday. He was already in the Colts’ testing program, so he was able to join the Packers on the field immediately.
No word on whether Veldheer will be able to play in Saturday’s playoff game against the Rams.
