The Manitowoc Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating the owner of a dog involved in a biting incident.
The situation occurred in the 3900 block of Fleetwood Drive at around 2:30 PM on Tuesday. A 68-year-old woman was reportedly walking on the sidewalk, at the same time a second woman was walking two large dogs. As the two women passed each other, one of the canines nipped the victim in the upper thigh, which incited a verbal altercation between the women.
The two went on their separate ways, but not before the victim got a good look at the suspect dog. She described it as a large dog with a black and brown bindle coat, with no other identifying marks, tags, or collar.
Anyone with any information on the canine or the owner is encouraged to contact the Manitowoc Police Department Shift Commander Line at 686-6551.
