A Manitowoc man was arrested early yesterday (January 13th) morning, after he and his step-dad got into a physical altercation.
Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 900 block of North 11th Street just before 5:00 AM on a report of a family trouble complaint.
After speaking with the men, a son, and his step-dad, the officers learned that the 18-year-old son had heard his parents talking, and believed they were talking about him. So he went downstairs to confront them, and the two men approached each other, accidentally headbutting each other in the process.
The son retreated to his room but came back down after his step-father called him down. The mother, who witnessed the incident, told police that during the second altercation, the son began throwing punches, so the father retaliated in kind.
The son was arrested, and charged with Battery, with a Domestic Violence enhancer.
