A fire broke out yesterday in Green Bay and destroyed a vehicle while damaging a building.
Fire crews were dispatched to the 2300 block of Main Street at around 12:20 PM on Wednesday after receiving a call about a gas tank fire inside a building. When they arrived, they found a car completely engulfed in flames, and smoke emitting from the shop building.
The car was located inside the building when it caught fire, but workers were able to move it out of the shop with a front-end loader, preventing any serious damage to the structure.
It was determined that equipment failure was the cause of the blaze, which resulted in around $5,000 in damages. No injuries were reported.
