The Manitowoc Public School District has announced that they will be returning to a “blended model” of instruction -a combination of in-person and virtual learning- Tuesday, January 26th, the start of the second semester.
Superintendent Mark Holzman says the decision made at last night’s School Board meeting was made with “much consideration” to protect the health and safety of students and staff and will continue the mitigation measures implemented last fall including masks and social distancing.
Although MPSD does not expect to meet their community burden rate results due out later today, Holzman reiterates that they’ve met all other expanded gaiting criteria including available hospital beds and other critical health care data.
Further updates are expected on the details With the MPSD Superintendent adding that “we hope that you join us in our excitement to return to blended instruction.”
