Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett says he’s hopeful his city will soon be able to vaccinate a thousand people-a-day.
The city just got the green light to begin vaccinating those employees at the Wisconsin Center starting today (Tuesday). Only about 120 Milwaukee employees on the frontlines have been vaccinated previously.
There will be 36 vaccination rooms in the Wisconsin Center and a new refrigeration system has been installed inside the building. The Center’s 30-foot ceilings, special air filtration system, and 24-hour security made the location ideal for the major undertaking.
