Senior Daryl Watts had a two-goal weekend, but she was the only Badger to score Sunday during a 2-1 overtime loss to Ohio State.
That loss saddled number-one-ranked Wisconsin with a split of the two games. Coach Mark Johnson’s team never led Sunday.
The Buckeyes led most of the second and third periods before Watts saved a tie with a goal. Kennedy Blair had 37 saves. The loss was the first for the Wisconsin program in a 3-on-3 overtime.
The Badgers had beaten Ohio State in a similar situation last year.
Wisconsin hosts Minnesota Friday and Saturday in the latest version of the Border Battle. Both games start at 2:00 p-m.
