Two longtime employees of the City of Manitowoc will not be going in to work on Monday.
Finance Director Steve Corbeille and City Clerk Deborah Neuser officially entered retirement this week, taking with them many years of experience.
City Council President Eric Sitkiewitz thanked them for their years of dedication, saying “I know that every day, they had the best interest for the City in their hearts and minds.”
Shawn Alfred has taken over as the Finance Director and Treasurer, while the City Clerk position was filled by the previous Deputy Clerk, Mackenzie Reed-Kadow, and her position was filled by Amanda Baryenbruch.
