The winter season is such a notable part of the culture in Eastern Wisconsin, there are two separate events that are named after snow.
Both Manitowoc and Two Rivers have their own iteration of Snow Fest, but they take place at different times in the year. The Two Rivers version takes place in summer to celebrate the time a pile of snow was found in the middle of the summer, while Manitowoc’s version celebrates the season while it happens.
The event, which will take place next Saturday (January 16th), will take place at Silver Creek Park, located at 3001 South 10th Street from 9:00 to 1:00 PM. The winter celebration will feature a sledding hill, hiking trails & a disc golf course. There will also be rentals & demonstrations for snowshoes & fat-tire bikes. See the Manitowoc Parks and Recreation Department Facebook page for more information.
