State Senator Andre Jacque has been rather busy since the Senate resumed their work, and this time is co-sponsoring a bill that has support from both sides of the aisle.
Jacque joined forces with Milwaukee Democrat Lena Taylor and Representative Gae Magnafici, a Republican from Dresser, to introduce The Pre-Existing Condition Guaranteed Coverage Act.
As the name suggests, this bill generally sets certain requirements and limitations on health insurance coverage in the event the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act no longer preempts state law on the topic.
This proposal passed the Assembly last session with overwhelming bi-partisan support by a vote of 76-19 but was not taken up by the State Senate.
