The Lakeshore Humane Society will continue to take care of stray animals after reaching a new agreement with the cities of Manitowoc and Two Rivers.
This agreement, which will be in effect through 2023, sees the municipalities covering the 7-day statutory holding period for stray animals from the two cities.
Additional funding, which will still come largely from donations, is still critical for the Humane Society’s work on behalf of the animals.
