The Manitowoc County Health Department says all their 300 allocations of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine were given to frontline patient-facing healthcare workers this week, with a second allocation arriving next week.
But what about the rest of us? Manitowoc County Emergency Services Director Travis Waack says, “We know everyone’s eagerly asking “when am I able to receive the vaccine?” Once we receive the word and go-ahead from the state we’ll inform the public.”
Waack reminds everyone that the National Guard will return this Tuesday to perform COVID-19 tests at the County Expo Grounds. “If you’re feeling sick or have been in contact with someone who’s tested positive please come out and be tested. If you need a test before then they’re plenty of other options through our healthcare system.”
Rapid testing will not be available and will only be given to the first 300 who show up.
