Students in the Manitowoc Public School District may be allowed to return to in-person classes as soon as January 26th.
That according to a letter sent to families in the District by Superintendent Mark Holzman. He said in the letter sent out yesterday that they are “close” to meeting the gating criteria to return to a blended model, which includes both in-person and virtual learning.
Holzman also said that the preliminary data from the parent survey, which ended yesterday, shows that about 20% of families will continue to have their children learn via virtual options.
This topic has been the cause of some verbal back and forth, which came to a boiling point on December 19th when parents protested in downtown Manitowoc, demanding their children be allowed to return to classes in person.
