A Manitowoc woman was arrested early this morning after causing a scene at a local bar and driving while intoxicated.
Officers were dispatched to Saucy’s Sports Bar on Washington Street just after midnight on a report of a drunk woman refusing to leave, and striking customers.
When the officers arrived, they witnessed the suspect, a 56-year-old woman, in a car driving erratically, and coming to an abrupt stop.
The officers spoke with the bartender who said the woman had been drinking for several hours and became confrontational with a patron when she thought the person was talking about her.
The suspect also reportedly called the bartender a derogatory name and hit other patrons with her shoes.
The woman was arrested and charged with her 4th OWI offense.
