The Manitowoc Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating the owner of a dog involved in a biting incident.
The incident occurred in the 900 block of South 13th Street at around 7:30 Tuesday evening. The 36-year-old female victim was outside searching for her own dog, and when her pet came back to her, it was being followed by a large black and brown dog, possibly a German Shepherd. The victim picked up her dog to prevent it from getting bit, and she herself was bitten on her left calf.
The woman reported the incident and received medical treatment for her injuries. No other description of the dog was given.
Anyone with any information on the incident is encouraged to contact the Police Department at 920-686-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 920-683-4466.
