Time is up for anyone to submit paperwork to be involved in the 2021 Spring election, and several races are being contested in the City of Manitowoc.
As previously reported, Incumbent Mayor Justin Nickels is being challenged by Chris Able. Also, the Common Council seats in Districts 1,2,3,7, and 10 are all up for grabs, with incumbent Alderman Brett Vanderkin in District 1 being challenged by Theresa S. Schmitt.
Chad Beeman is the only person running to fill the seat in District 2, but there are three people vying for the empty seat in District 3. Theresa Collins, Mike Cummings, and Angela Myers will all be on the ballot come April 6th.
In District 7, Incumbent Alderman Aaron Baily is being challenged by Scott Pelot and Tim D. Boldt, while Todd Reckelberg is running uncontested in District 10.
A primary election for the 3rd and 7th Districts will take place on February 16th.
