The Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball team picked up an important win in the Border Battle with Minnesota last week, but the upset loss to Maryland knocked coach Greg Gard’s squad down two positions.
Wisconsin dropped from sixth to eighth in the A-P Top 25 Poll released Monday.
The poll shows the early-season dominance of the Big Ten Conference – with three teams in the top 10 and seven in the top 25.
Undefeated Gonzaga still sits on top of the poll, followed by Baylor, Villanova and Texas, while Iowa, at number five, is the highest-ranked Big Ten team.
