For the fourth time in the span of just under three years, a Manitowoc man was arrested after a confrontation with his mother.
The Manitowoc Police Department sent officers to a home in the 2000 block of Hamilton Street at around 11:45 PM last Thursday evening after a woman claimed her 30-year-old son, had broken down her front door.
The suspect, Edwin Guzman-Galarza, was found in the home, having sustained injuries during the break-in, eating a cookie. He refused to speak with police, but his mother told officers that he had broken the door down and that she was fearful of him.
Guzman-Galarza, who was court-ordered to stay away from his mother, was charged with Disorderly Conduct with a Domestic Violence Order, and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
Guzman-Galarza was first arrested in April of 2018 after he attempted to force his way into his mother’s home. He was also arrested in June and November of last year after confrontations with his mother.
