Kenosha Mayor John Antaramian and Police chief Daniel Miskinis say their main responsibility is to public safety. That’s why the Kenosha Police Department is planning some precautionary efforts before a charging decision is released about the shooting last summer of Jacob Blake.
The mayor says the charging decision will likely be announced in the next two weeks.
Kenosha could designate a space for demonstrations, put limits on city bus routes, close some roads, enforce a curfew, and erect some protective fencing.
Those suggestions were part of a Facebook posting Sunday morning by the police.
