The Manitowoc County Health Department will begin vaccinating eligible healthcare workers tomorrow.
County Health Officer Stephanie Lambert says they have received its first allocation of the Moderna vaccine and will host COVID-19 Vaccine clinics for Phase One eligible individuals tomorrow. They include but not limited to doctors, nurses, health aides, dentists, therapists, funeral directors, and chiropractors along with all patient-facing healthcare personnel and persons working directly with infectious material containing SARS-COV-2.
It does not include essential workers, the elderly, or people considered high risk for COVID-19. Manitowoc County Emergency Services Director Travis Waack says “Manitowoc County has been preparing for this moment for months. We are ready.”
Health Officer Lambert adds “Now that the vaccines have arrived we are ready to use these clinics to start protecting the people of Manitowoc particularly those front-line workers at high risk.”
Eligible individuals who have not received scheduling information from the County Health Department are asked to visit the Manitowoc County Health Department’s website and submit a request via the “Contact Us” button.
