The Wisconsin Badgers fall two places from 6th to 8th in this week’s AP Top 25 Men’s College Basketball Poll.
Head Coach Greg Gard’s team split a pair of games last week losing to unranked Maryland while beating then 21st ranked Minnesota
on New Year’s Eve.
The Badgers and Golden Gophers are two of seven Big Ten teams ranked in the Top 25. Iowa is ranked fifth. Minnesota is up five spots to 16th. Michigan is 10th, Illinois is 12th, Rutgers checks in at number 15, and Michigan State is 23rd.
Ohio State, Northwestern, and Indiana all received votes. Gonzaga received 63 of 64 first-place votes to remain number one. The other first-place vote went to Second-ranked Baylor. Villanova-Texas and Iowa round out the Top Five.
