The Two Rivers City Council met on Monday (December 28th) for the last time this year, and took the time to review the status of the goals set for this past year.
City Manager Greg Buckley explained to SeehaferNews.com that the council adopted the goals in June after several years of not making a formal list.
The consensus was rather positive overall Buckley explained, “The overall assessment was that there has been considerable progress on a number of goals, including several related to economic development activity, efforts to address some of our funds of the city that need attention like our water fund, and working to increase the undesignated fund balance for the general fund.”
Goals for 2021 are expected to be revealed to the public sometime in January.
Buckley also said that the council approved the appointment of a new member to fulfill the term of Jack Powalisz, who resigned earlier this year. He said, “The Council voted to offer that position…to former council member Kay Coach. Kay will be joining the Council on Monday to fill out that term.”
Buckley said that Powalisz resigned due to a conflict with his work schedule.
