Rescue crews were able to save two men after they fell through the ice on Random Lake on Tuesday.
A call reporting the incident was received by the Sheboygan County Dispatch Center at around 5:15 PM.
When rescue crews arrived, they located a 47-year old man and his 25-year-old nephew and were able to pull them from the frigid waters.
The men explained that they had attempted to walk on Random Lake, but the ice broke beneath their feet, and they were submerged.
The men were transported to Aurora Grafton Hospital for further evaluation.
The victim’s names and current conditions have not been released.
The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by Random Lake Fire and Ambulance, the County Dive Team, Orange Cross Ambulance, and the Silver Creek, Kohler, Plymouth, and Cedar Grove Fire Department.
