All Wisconsin Republicans in the US House oppose President Trump’s call for increasing the stimulus payments to two-thousand dollars.
Democratic Representatives Ron Kind, Gwen Moore, and Mark Pocan all voted “yes” for the CASH Act, which would increase the $600 stimulus checks by another $1400 dollars. Republican Congressmen Jim Sensenbrenner, Glenn Grothman, Bryan Steil, Mike Gallagher, and Tom Tiffany were all “no” votes.
Every neighboring state except Iowa saw at least one Republican vote for the measure. Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell blocked a vote today (Tuesday) on the $2000 stimulus checks in his chamber.
