Omro police say the bodies of two people were found inside a home that had burned early on Christmas Day.
A patrol officer reported flames and heavy smoke coming from the structure at about 4:30 AM. After the fire was extinguished, the bodies of the people and a dog were discovered.
Firefighters say the origin of the fire appears to be suspicious, and Omro police echoed that thought.
The Wisconsin DOJ Division of Criminal Investigation and the State Fire marshal are helping with the investigation.
The cause of the fire hasn’t been revealed.
