Governor Tony Evers says six-million dollars in grant money will boost economic development for the state of Wisconsin.
The nine grants will pay for harbor maintenance and improvement projects. Evers says the work will promote waterborne freight, harbor infrastructure, and passenger cruise facilities. The largest grant of one-and-a-half-million dollars goes for a project in Superior.
Smaller grants go for projects at Oconto’s Breakwater Park and Prairie du Chien.
