COVID-19 can’t stop Manitowoc Golden K Kiwanis members from making a positive difference in the lives of fellow Manitowoc County residents.
Aided by a match from Shoreline Credit Union on their allocation to Salvation Army, their annual food drive resulted in members combining their cash donations to raise more than $2,600 for the food pantries at St. Vincent’s, Peter’s Pantry and the Salvation Army.
Golden K Kiwanis members also “rang the bell” for Salvation Army’s local Red Kettle Campaign, helping to raise nearly $1,000 during members’ shifts.
The Golden K group is a group within the Kiwanis Organization, which is comprised of older members of the group.
