
United Way Manitowoc County announced the recipients of their third and final phase of funding from their COVID-19 Basic Needs Relief Fund.
Thirteen local nonprofit and charitable organizations are receiving relief monies totaling $16,500 to support the basic needs of ALICE (Asset Limited Income Constrained Employed) households in Manitowoc County who have felt devastating impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic. Ascend Services, CASA, CORE Treatment Services, Crusaders of Justicia, Grow it Forward, Hope house, Lakeshore Foster Families & Friends, Lighthouse Recovery Community Center, Manitowoc Cooperative Ministry, the Manitowoc-Two Rivers YMCA, The Crossing,
The Haven, and The Salvation Army of Manitowoc County each received $1,500 from the grant program. Throughout the three phases of grants, United Way Manitowoc County awarded a total of $92,150 from their COVID-19 Basic Needs Relief Fund to 18 local nonprofit and charitable organizations to provide both immediate basic needs relief and long-term recovery.
