If you’re able to donate blood, we have information about an upcoming Community blood drive at the Manitowoc-Two Rivers YMCA.
It’s scheduled for Tuesday, December 22nd from noon until 5 PM at the Y. The American Red Cross is testing blood, platelet, and plasma donations for COVID-19 antibodies. As part of this effort, plasma from whole blood donations that test positive for coronavirus antibodies may now be used to help current COVID patients in need of convalescent plasma transfusions.
You’re urged to make an appointment for the local blood drive next Tuesday by either calling 1-800-RED CROSS or visiting redcrossblood.org.
