A Two Rivers man takes special joy in providing personalized colored pictures to others.
Lee Pilger tells SeehaferNews.com, he began doing pictures from adult coloring books 4 to 5 years ago, and he finds it to be amazing. “I’ve even sent some of my pictures overseas to Australia, Scotland, New Zealand, Germany, Africa to some young adults he met at Salvation Army Summer camp in the last two years,” he said.
Aside from giving some of his pictures to family-members, Lee has given them to healthcare workers, to people in nursing homes, assisted living, and hospitals just in the past couple of months. Now, with Christmas approaching, Pilger says, “I’m doing Christmas cards for people in those facilities, and last month I did veterans day pictures for those who couldn’t get out. It brings joy, I hope, to elderly people in our community.” His pictures can range from flowers and nature to tractors for those who grew up on a farm and, he said the irony is he hated coloring as a kid growing up.
Lee estimated he has 1,000 colored pencils & over 200 adult coloring books.
